Settlement began to build in the 70s of the 20th century as a settlement for employees Tatry Koprivnice NC Čadca Hospital and the staff at NC plant SLOVENIA Čadca. The first apartment buildings were put into use in 1978. Construction was completed at the end 80.years, which fell to the communist regime to stop building settlements and other čadčianské: Žarec and III housing development, located south of the settlement. In 90.years lived in a housing estate of more than 8,000 inhabitants, this number has steadily increased to the present: 13.000 inhabitants. On the housing estate is located Church. Joseph laborer in 2002, two elementary schools: Elementary School Rázusová and Comenius school, and many grocery stores as well as other needs. Settlement is still continuously expanding construction of new residential buildings. Kycerka settlement is one half of the population in the city of Cadca
