Second World War 1939-1945, interesting place, control tower
During the Second World War, Ibsley was a major base for Spitfire and Typhoon fighter aircraft. Not much of the base stands today but, the control tower does. Now a home for bats on a Southern Water nature reserve, it should be left alone.
