Saethumaadhava theertham, 6. Kanthamaatana water, 7. Suvaatcha theertham, 8. Nalatheertham, 9. Kulatheertham, 10. Sathrutheertham, 11. Chakra theertham, 12. Brahmahaththi theertham, 13. Vimohshana theertham, 14. Sun theertham, 15. Moon theertham, 16. Ganga theertham (=water), 17. Yamuna theertham, 18. Gaya Theertham, 19. Shiva Theertham, 20. Sathyaamruta Theertham, 21. Sarva Theertham, 22.Koatti Theertham (=Crore water) .
In the Island there are Holy water sources like Rama teerth, Sita Kund, Jata Teerth, Lakshman Teerth, Kapi Teerthas, Brahmakund, Galawa teerth, Mangala teerth, Kodandaram teerth, Pandav teerth etc., The waters at all these places is sweet and has a taste of its own. Every teerth has a typical story attached to it. Devotees take Darshan and feel purged by doing so. The water in the kunds never dries up how much ever the water is being extracted.It is believed that the water in these wells are directly from the holy rivers of India: Ganga,Yamuna,etc..
The 22 theerthams (tanks) within the temple premises are believed to have particular powers( disease curing and salvation from sin or Karma) and pilgrims are expected to bathe in, and drink from the waters in each Theertham. The number of theerthams is said to correspond with the number of arrows in Rama’s quiver, which he used to generate water on the island.
