Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) has power generation facilities
at Bin Qasim Thermal Power Station (BQPS) with installed capacity of 1,200
MW, which has now been derated to 1050 MW. KESC is planning to enhance the
capacity at BQPS by additional installed capacity of 575 MW (ISO) with
installation of one (1) combined cycle power generation block. The combined
cycle generation block consists of two (2) Gas Turbines, two (2) Heat Recovery
Steam Generators and one (1) Condensing Steam Turbine. The new combined
cycle power blocks will be installed within the boundary of BQPS.

Unit-2 = 180 MW
Unit-3 = 160 MW
Unit-4 = 140 MW
