Goortan Village

Goortan or Ghurtan village, one of the suburbs of Ben Roud district of the city of Isfahan, is located on 52°, 33min from East and 32°, 27 min from North, and is 19km far from South Eastern of Harand, and 110km far from Isfahan. This village is limited to Sharif Abad and Kebrit villages from North and North Eastern, and to Kofran village from South. Zayande Roud River flows through the village. This village has 1480m height from the sea level and has a mild and dry climate. Ghurtan village has an ancient history. The gravestones of its old cemetery relate to the pre-Islamic history. This village had been the ammunition dump and the stronghold of Deilamite and Seljukian Dynasties.
The people of Ghurtan village speak Persian with a local dialect that has an old record in history.
