  • I parked my car at College Square last week. The parking lot was at maybe 20% capacity. I shopped for shoes, groceries and a bottle of wine but first I went over to Algonquin College for a brief appointment with my son. Apparently by stepping off the College Square property, however briefly, I was parking illegally and was fined $75. I was only parked for an hour and a quarter and I did shop at their mall, probably for the last time. Be warned the management of College Square are spying on you! One false move and you stop being a customer and become a criminal instead.
  • Love the place and many of the stores. It's convenient by Para Transpo. The only 2 things I could suggest are benches or lack of them. Could maybe use a jewelry store. Needed batteries for a few of my watches and there are no jewelry store or watch repair. Thank you for your time. Regards Pauline
  • I use to shop at College Square, but as of today I will not shop there again. I had to pay my son's tuition for the A.A.A.D. Program at Algonquin College. That is the program for special needs program. There was a fire drill going on and student filled the parking lot, rather then wait for them to clear I parked in the very empty parking lot of the shopping centre. I was gone maybe 40 minutes as I had to wait for my son to make sure he found where I was parked. I got back and found the By-law officer ticketing cars. He told me that the store in the Square complained that customers didn't have enough parking. I asked how they new I hadn't been in a store and he informed me that security watches for people parking "illegally". That means that they pay someone to spy and the City makes a nice chunk of revenue from parking tickets. I am outraged at how inhospitable this policy is. I will not shop there again and I will be calling Jim Watson regarding this cash grab. Katherine McNamara

  • lol really? Of course they have to watch for people parking illegally. The parking is there for people shopping not for people who need to go to Algonquin. Imagine they didn't watch and they let student park there? There would be no room for shoppers... And it is not City of Ottawa that are 'spys', they have security hired by College Square who then call by-law when people are parked illegally. Educate...
  • don't shop here unless you want a parking ticket. spent 3 hours shopping here at several stores and got a ticket. Brought my 3 receipts to the security office and they said that i shopped for too long! 75$ parking ticket that we are still fighting. I will never shop here again!
