Home to numerous aquatic Birds. Water hens, Black Swans(Sale's Emblem, Pelicans etc. It was originally a swamp. Works to transform the originally known eastern Lagoon were completed in 1880. It was named after the first Sale Mayor Nehemiah Guthridge, who died prior to seeing the project completed. Lake Guyatt, another nearby lake was recently completed. both lakes are circumnavigated by walking tracks with exercise stations along the pathway and numerous playgrounds parks and Aboriginal outdoor art paintings.
Rental Canoes and Peddle boats are avilable for hire on holidays and weekends.

Free Picnic BBQ'S toilets and parking areas are some of the many amenities. along with an indoor outdoor swimming complex and a nature park bordering on the lake.
