This building was originally founded in 1862 and opened in 1864 as 'St Andrew's Church'. Since the 1980's the building became derelict and it was deteriorating, so in 1997 it was purchased by a Muslim Charity (Kafel Fund UK) then later the charity organisation merged with the local Swansea Mosque. Together they have finally succeeded in commencing the restoration & renovation into a mosque as well as a community centre.
