  • Hi, Lorena, I went to elementary school there about the same time. Had Mr. Cates as a teacher. Marcie Olson
  • We lived at 565 Apt 16 Cramenton Housing 1979-1987
  • I lived at Cramenton on the fifth floor, from 1967 thru 1971 I just loved it in Augsburg, West Germany, My Father was stationed in the Army. I was looking for a Teacher by the name of Ms. LORENZO
  • My family and I lived in Cramerton, Building 540 Apt 14. Our building stood alone and was in front of the playground and laundromat. My daughters attended Augsburg Elementary. I was stationed at Field Station Augsburg at Gablingen Kaserne. My unit was on Sheridan Kaserne. I met wonderful people there and have great memories. Loved Augsburg. It was the perfect duty station.

  • We lived in 569 #5 Cramerton from 1963-1965 or 66. From the dining room windows I could see a graveyard, I was very young. I remember the competitions to "beautify" the front areas of the apartment buildings. I also remember playing with lots of kids in the snow on a big playground, making snow forts. We went in to "Germantown" but the kids there would not play with us.
  • If my sing-song memory serves me correctly, we lived at 557 Cramerton, I remember it being several floors up. I believe we were there from 74-77 and I vividly remember the underpass and smelling stinkbombs!
  • Nice to meet you. I live in Apt 13 now. Playground and laundromat are gone unfortunately.
  • Jennifer K, is the graveyard still there. On Google maps, I can see where the graveyard would be but all I can see is trees. We lived there like 1974-1979. The King Family. Kathy, Cindy, Mark me & Pj.
  • We lived there from 62-66 in 542 apt 17 just to the left of the playground. I remember it like it was yesterday.
  • I think we lived at 567 those same years. We had a big white poodle named Toby who was buried at that cemetery. I used to hang out with a Jimmy Vans Like.
  • Joseph Fike: We lived there in 68 - 69 across the street from the graveyard. I forget the Apt.No. When you come from the direction of the High School or PX and make your left into the housing and immediate right it was the 2nd building.

  • Hi Dan Aiken - I don't know if you remember me - I'm Sharon Benoit - I used to live upstairs from you in Cramerton. My brother Paul Benoit used to hang out with you. My dad was Sgt. Benoit. Hope you are doing well. It's so amazing to read all these commits - brings back so many good memories of Germany.
  • Yes, the graveyard is still here and well. Amazing to meet s/o who actually lived here before.
  • My dad was stationed at Flak Kaserne. Lived at Cramerton from 1961-63. Went to the nearby American elementary school from 4th - 6th grades. Miss Gross was my 5th grade teacher; Mr. Holland for 6th grade. Had to go through an underpass beneath the road to walk between the housing area and the school. Underpass was where all the "big kids" would hang out and smoke cigarettes. I remember that the PX was walking distance away. Sold Xmas trees at that PX with my Boy Scout troop one year.
  • For those of you that lived in Cramerton and attended the Elementary school, feel free to join the Augsburg Elementary School Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/205896579452694/
