Fullers Earth Union Ltd was incorporated on 21 March 1890 amalgamating a number of quarries in Surrey and near Bath, Somerset. The offices of the company were based at Patteson Court, Redhill.
In 1954 Fullers' Earth Union Ltd joined the Laporte Group.
The Combe Hay mine closed on February 29 1980, bringing to an end almost 100 years of the industry in the Bath area.
