The Onondaga (Onöñda'gega' or the People of the Hills) are one of the original five constituent nations of the Iroquois (Haudenosaunee) Confederacy. Their traditional homeland is in and around Onondaga County, New York.

The Onondaga Nation is an Indian reservation in Onondaga County, New York, United States. It is the territory of the Onondaga Nation. The population was 1,473 at the 2000 census.

The Onondaga Nation considers itself a politically independent entity.
