One of several churches in the area that can trace its origins to medieval times, the oldest parts of Vaksala church are from the late twelfth century. The fine altar screen was made in Antwerp in 1510 and is the largest in the diocese. The pulpit was carved in 1795. The organ facade was made by Olof Tempelman in 1805.
