The building was built in the early 20th century and expanded in 1914. This two-storey wooden building with a tower played an important role in promoting the original Jurmala beach.

The first building in this part of Jurmala, offered a variety of baths, both in winter and in summer - a bath with warm seawater, carbonic acid extracts and needles. In Soviet times it was used as a clinic.

In 2003, the building was reconstructed to its original appearance.
