Writer E. B. White (Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little) lived and wrote here for almost 50 years until his death in 1985. The barn is attached to the rear of the house. The house, dating to 1795, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The site and buildings are private property.
