Vogelherd Cave

Already 30.000 Years ago this cave called "Vogelherdhöhle" (Birdstove-cave)was used as a restingplace and shelter. The Cave became famous worldwide for the discovery of the so called "Lonetalpferd" (Lone-valley-horse), a 5 cm sized figure made aout of ivory - one of the oldest work of art pieces in human race. In 2007 there was found another artpiece: a complete, well preserved little mammoth. A big wallchart informs about the historico-cultural relevance.
