The 1980s topo maps mark this western suburb of Yining as "Bayandai".
Not entirely clear if this is exactly the same location as "Langar (Baiandai)" mentioned by the 19th century writers. E.g., in "Russian Central Asia: Including Kuldja, Bokhara, Khiva and Merv" , Henry Lansdell (p.190) places Bayandai on the Suidun - Kuldja route, 18 km from Suidun (Shuiding? Huiyan?) and 23 km from Kuldja (i.e. Yining); meanwhile the location on the map is not much more than 10 km or so west from Yining.
