Built in 1883 for Princeton University religion professor Charles Shields, the structure was architect Richard Morris Hunt's last Newport house designed in the Stick style. Salve Regina acquired the property, located on Ruggles Avenue, in 2004. Nethercliffe accommodates junior and senior students.
