Actually this was the Russian trenches, due to bad intelligence, finnish fortifications Le-8, and Le-7 were not detected, and as a result most of the Russian regiment entrenched at these positions was wiped out by artillery fire from the forticications, as well as from the Finnish infantry several hundred meters to the north, along the modern-day highway.
