  Fisherman's Paradise is regulated by the guideline "Heritage Trout Angling". A Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission designation that can be found on their website. Inform yourself before fishing here. This was one of the very first areas designated "special regulations" in the United States. The hatchery was constructed in 1933 and the Paradise drew throngs of people. Part of the stream here was set aside for "ladies only". There is a small visitor's center at the hatchery where some of this history can be seen. An understated tribute to a pioneering achievement - special regs are seen on streams throughout the United States today.
