USA / New York / Sea Cliff / Glen Cove, New York
post office, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, Georgian (architecture), New Deal Depression Relief Project [1933-1945]

Designed c. 1932 in the Georgian Revival style by Delano & Aldrich as consulting architects for the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Department of Treasury. The purchase of land and influence for this commission was spearheaded by Harold Pratt. Its exterior can be traced back to inspiration from the earlier Lancaster Meetinghouse in Lancaster, Massachusetts. True to the many New Deal projects, the pediment features a bas relief by Hazel Clere.
