Built in 1921 and acquired by Forest Lawn in 1978, Forest Lawn — Long Beach has been a well-known landmark for more than 80 years. Cathedral Tower, constructed in 1925, is widely regarded as a Long Beach landmark and is part of the Sunnyside Mausoleum. The Foucault Pendulum, in the Sunnyside Mausoleum, is one of the largest of its kind in the United States. It keeps accurate time as it makes one complete revolution every 42 hours and 48 minutes.
