Ljusne Church is of highly unusual design and is well worth seeing. Constructed of timber, it resembles a grand house, with a turret in the centre of the roof. The church was consecrated in 1896. The church was built on the initiative of Countess Wilhelmina von Hallwyl. The interior is dominated by wood. The pulpit is placed above the altar, an arrangement rarely seen in Lutheran churches today.
