Göransson Arena, opened in 2009 and named after GF Göransson, founder of the city's steel mill (Sandvikens Jernverk) in 1862, is a large indoor multi-purpose arena with a total capacity of about 10,000 (including 5,000 on the floor). It has facilities for a variety of events, like concerts, exhibits and conferences. Its ice surface for the home bandy team matches, Sandvikens AIK, measures 65 x 105 m.
