  • Lived at 710-B Fryar Circle from 1958-1961. Loved Augsburg. Don't think my Dad thought he was a "high ranked officer!"
  • I lived there 1964ish. I was one and two. My dad was a major then. He didn't think he was high ranked either, Chris.
  • I lived there in 1956 to 57
  • Lived there when it was first built, '54, I think, thru '57. My Dad made Lt. Col. there before moving back to Fort Bragg.
  • My family lived at 728A Fryar Circle, Aug 1962 through Jun 1965. Dad was Chaplain, Lt Col, Frederick Olen Hunt Jr. We have fond memories of his assignment with 24th Infantry Division, attending DoD school, and traveling around Europe!
  • Lived there (I think) 1986-1990, 713B, as a child. Pretty funny to see how little it actually is when compared to my memory. I remember riding my bike around the circle, Freitzeit (sp?) Park, the nearby indoor water park, and running around playing guns with my friends all the time.
  • I lived there 1958-1960, on the corner next to the generals' quarters and backing on the German road. It was a great place to live. On Halloween, we loved getting to the other end of the circle where the apartments were so we could collect a lot of candy while staying out of the cold!
  • THE TAYLOR FAMILY LIVED THERE FROM 1967 TO DECEMBER 1969
  • I remember going to the bakery on the German side. I loved to smell the bakery and look at all the candy in the jars. The German gum balls always tasted so good, everything was good over there. I learned to ride my bike on that circle my eldest sister Cynthia and Carol asked Linda to run behind me. I had no clue she had let go. I got all the way around the circle and my sisters asked where Linda was. I turned around noticed she was gone and the bike and i both went down. The other sweet memory was sliding down the hill on snow days at the end of the apartments, that was a blast even walking from one end of the circle to the other end in what felt like waist high snow. i was about 5 when we got there and 7 when we left. Dad was promoted to col. They promoted him then sent us back for him to go to Vietnam. I did not want to leave. and Certainly didn't want to go the US. We got to Swaibish gamund when i was late 3 almost 4 and left Augsburg at age 7 so to me Germany was home.
