Hout Bay Heights Estate is a residential extension of Hout Bay, that originated as a Coloured suburb under the Apartheid Regime. Generally what happened is that fishermen from the Hangberg community that did well for themselves financially built houses in this area. Over time the residents have became a multicultural haven, with people of all race groups, and economic means living in a close knit and jovial community.
