A round cylindrical sentry box made of concrete built by the Japanese Army to keep watch over and around the elevated railway bridge which runs through the valley, to guard against possible anti-Japanese guerilla attacks. Another bigger concrete structure for the same purpose is located in the woods on the other side of the valley, to the northeast.
