Major freight yard used by Norfolk Southern. Yard was electrified by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1938 and was de-electrified by Conrail in the mid-1980s in favor of diesel locomotives, as they declined to pay Amtrak for the electrification power. This was the western-most extent of the PRR's 25Hz electrification system.
