Ambernath, it is one of the oldest city in Thane District. The city has been named from the ancient shiv-mandir 'Ambreshwar'. History says that, this temple was built nearly 1000 yers ago and is a unique example of Hemadpanthi sort of arichitecture.
and again it is included in the konkan region. nearer to raigarh district.
and yes it is a cool place, and i can say that it is the lst stop of mumbai.
there are so many industries, so it is a good industrial place and more close to development.
it is a town with apopulation of approx 3 lakhs. the town is more known as an ordnance factory base and a place with maximum number small to medium scale factories and large scale businesses
