School 37, Samarkand (Samarkand)

School #37 (named aftr Alexander Pushkin, a poet - might have been re-named after the collapre of teh Soviet Union) is one of the oldest elementary and middle schools in Samarkand. It has a strong curriculum in English language, as several specialized English subjects are offered, such as English Language, English Literature, facultative courses in Technical Translation. The buildings seen on the satellite map are:
1) Corner building with the brown roof is the Old Building (2 stories).The building was constructed in the 1930-s (needs verification). The main entrance to the school is in this building (North-Western part of the facade - upper left part of the building).
2) Immediately adjacent to the Old Building from the East are 2 buildings: Annex Building (one-story building - darker grey roof) and the Gym (lighter grey roof). The Gym is 2-stories tall, but has only 1 floor (high ceiling).
3) The 3rd builfing seen to the south of the Old Building is the so-called New Building (built in late 1960-s). It is at ~80-degrees to the Old Building and has a grey roof. The building is 4-stories high. The Old and New buildings are connected by a short junction pass. The pass is 1 story high. The bust of Alexander Pushkin, a poet is (was) standing in this passageway.
4) Adjacent at 90-degrees to the New Biolding is the Conventions Hall, the plece where school meetings, conventions, conferences and theatrical presentations and other student performances take place.

The open area between the buildings is the school yard, a place where stodents play and hang around during class recesses and between classes.

The buikding at the South East (liwer right) corner of teh school yard is the storage (brown roof).
