Tacking Point Lighthouse at Port Macquarie NSW is the third oldest lighthouse in Australia. Built in 1879 it is a 17 foot brick tower. The lighthouse is a local landmark and overlooks the Tacking Point Surf Life Saving Club.

Named by Matthew Flinders in 1802, the Tacking Point headland has been difficult for ships to get around in the past and there are more than 20 wrecks in the area. It is a popular lookout for whales and dolphins.
