Arochukwu is the third largest city in Abia State (after Aba and Umuahia). Arochukwu is composed of 19 villages with an overall leader called Eze Aro. It was also one of the cities in the Southern protectorate conquered by the British colonial government.

  • Arochukwu is the place where the famous Long Juju is. Been there to see it in 1992 but could not get there even after a very interesting meeting with the Eze Aro. Remember still the friendly and helpful people all the same.
  • Hello Josephine, Kanu is not the first footballer from Abia. We have players like Stanley Okoronkwo of Rangers FC Enugu(1975 - 1980), he won some many trophies for the country and the football club, and so many others too numerous to mention etc
