f Cuyutlán lies 22 miles east of Manzanillo and 33 miles south of Colima near a large salt water lagoon of the same name. It belongs to the Armería municipality. The town has been a popular beach resort for decades and shows its age in places. Numerous palapa restaurants line the beach of somewhat coarse grey sand.
