Barlaston is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stafford in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is roughly halfway between the city of Stoke-on-Trent and the small town of Stone. According to the 2001 census the population of the parish was 2,659.
Village is now home to the Wedgwood factory, moved here from Etruria. Stoke-on-Trent, in early 1940s. The factory is set in estate surroundings near Barlaston Hall (undergoing restoration). An adjacent visitor centre displays Wedgwood ware from 1750 onwards, and other attractions include an art gallery, craftsmen at work and reconstruction of an original 18th-century workshop at Etruria.
