229th Uzhurskiy Missile Regiment 229-й ракетный Ужурский полк Military Unit: 74832 Activated 1966 in Uzhur, Krasnoyarsk Kray, under the 62nd Missile Division. The regiment went on alert duty 2.11.67 with 6 R-36 (8K67) (SS-9) silos at site BRK-5. The regiment stood down 2.77, and began conversion to the R-36M (SS-18) missile - alert duty from 9.78. The regiment stood down 20.6.90, and began conversion to the R-36M2 missile - alert duty from 26.11.91. Uzhurskiy designation since 17.12.99.
