An irrigation department bungalow known as “Sheesh Mahal” in Chandil.
The sports and culture department has decided to set up a museum (Patkum) here for preserving ancient artefacts and stone sculptures collected from the site of the Chandil Dam of the Subarnarekha Multi-purpose Project nearly 14 years ago.
The proposed museum would showcase 120 Buddhist, Jain and Hindu statues that had been dug up during the Chandil Dam excavation in the SMP command area.
