Kukouri - Fort Slava

 island, fortification, interesting place
A small round fortress was built there at the end of the 18th century, but the fortress is now badly destroyed. A canopy built later resembles the original fortress structure and protects the remaining walls.

Anglo-French fleet destroyed the abandoned fortress during the Crimean war (July, 1855). Later e.g. bricks were reused by locals.
