The remains of a huge dome (Istra)

This was a grandiose structure that ultimately failed. The building was 236.5 m. in diameter at the equator and 118.4 meters high in the center.
On the morning of January, 25th, 1985 at 7:40 the building collapsed. Thankfully, no one was killed. The reason for the collapse, snow loading, errors in calculations of the design and the absence of a system for clearing snow.
