Villa de Proosdij is an eclectic Villa built in 1890 on the remains of older buildings. It has neoclassic and neogothic style elements. The Villa is named after the grounds it was built on. In 968 a.d. Queen Gerberga donated the grounds to the deanery of Reims (fr). Since then the grounds were named 'Prosdye'(dutch word for deanery). The Villa was built by the mayor of Klimmen.
The house is privately owned and also houses an art gallery. It also is a wedding location.
