Porterville is a city in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 62,623 at the 2020 census. Porterville is home to the oldest high school band in California, the Porterville Panther Marching Band. Porterville received the All-America City Award in 1994[1]. Today the population is about 65,000 that many believe includes the cows and the orange trees. Porter Rd. was the first street. Interestingly enough, the Zalud House is reported to be one of the most haunted places in the country.
