A traditional public onsen with a wooden bath. No rotemburo. Reopened after renovation in 2000. In 1204, Shiogun Minamoto-no Yoriie was attacjed in this bath when held captive in the town. Writer Natsume Sotseki frequented here and highly praised the water.
