Dadhia is a village ,famous for Sri Gopal Das Babaji's Temple. On the occasion of babaji's birthday anniversary a Mela is held every year during the month of Jan.-Feb, starting from Makori Saptomi .

It a beautiful village located near the border of the two districts Burdwan and Birbhum in the sate of West Bengal, India.
Agriculture is main component of its economy and most of the people depends on agriculture. Like the other villages in Burdwan, rice and potato are the primary cultivated crops.

A lots of palm tree is seen to be grown here abundantly and a few mango orchard surrounding ponds are also very common.

Education: there is a government Higher Secondary ,two government primary and a private nursery school. For higher education most of the students rely ob the following colleges: Katwa college Lavpur college , Khujutipara college and newly formed Kandra college.

    My first visited mela with a person who is no longer in existance--my grandpa. I did enjoy a lot.

    Dr.Kazi Abdur Raquib familarly known as ''DAKTAR BABU'',who was only medical practioner in early 1960.inthis locality. From then his was journey to serve the poor people was not so comfortable.yet he fought with brave mind and energy .He dedicated himself for the well being of the poor people.many says doctors are next to God,who save life of people.sometimes he proved this.He has two sons and four daughters.sons are well qualified and well positioned.His chamber at Dadhia mela is still recognisable.He died in the year 1985.

    Till today my family members from Palsha Roy bari gives an akra (free food distribution place) during mela days. During my childhood I enjoyed a lot in the mela.
