Jägerbataillon 23 is trained in all classic assignments and operations. The usnit is also trained to operate in high mountain and very difficult accessible areas. Most of the Officers and NCO's are very well known in mountain area ops. Many military are specialized alpine climbers, guides, alpine ski teachers or helicopter medic.
The unit is international deployable.
