According to the 1992 agreement signed by China and Myanmar, China leased Little Coco Islands as potential military installations.
Little Coco Island remains to be developed except for a couple of buildings, a cleared area with orchards on the east side and a landing on the west side.

The polygon apparently follows the low tide /submerged beach / reef outline.

  • IF ever any agreement is signed by the "illegal" military government/regime of Myanmar, there are many China has to lose for when the "legal democratic" Government of Myanmar emerges, all these will be trashed.
  • Strategic location for Union of Myanmar.
  • why the hell the chinese need their presense here? Just thinking they are super power? better first they aquire nice war ships.
  • A part of the "string of pearls" strategy of China. They are placing naval bases all over the Indian ocean rim
  • There is no military activity visible on Little Coco Island. With only four houses on this island, a potential Chinese military presence on the island would not be any threat. An (independent) military analysis on the basis of satellite pictures is one, believing propaganda is another. See for yourself.
  • this is another example of Chinese intrusion in Indian territory.
