It is one of the biggest and historical village of the Gujranwala District,having approximate residents more than 40,000.It has several old buildings still today built in 18th century.It was a home to several Hindus,Sikhs and Muslims before Independence of Pakistan and India from British rule.After partition several Hindu and Sikh families migrate from here to India in 1947 and from India several Muslim families migrated to this village.Migrated families are still using the homes and lands of those migrants who were migrated from here.Now it is the home to thousands Muslims and Christians,though Muslims are in majority but they share the same social and cultural status with independent practice of beliefs.
