靈渠, built by Chin Emperor over 2,000 years ago, is one of the oldest canal in the world. It connects Xiangjiang to Li River, in effect connecting the Yangtze River to the Pearl River Delta, 2 major water systems in China. It is one of the most important construction project in Chinese history. The Xiangjiang terminus of Lingqu is in the city of Xing'an
