A little village in the marsh land. Build on sand ground in a crescent round a green open area "Grønningen." Historical church and vicarage. The brother of bishop Hans Adolph Brorson was here a pastor in the beginning of 1700 - later a herostratic famous missionary, Daniel Hass, began here as pastor, before here in vain tried to convert muslims in Smyrna back to christianity - accompagnied by Chresten Kold, later a famous school-founder in the grundtvigian movement.
