Lake Oleiden

Kenya / Rift Valley / Naivasha /

Sometimes also called Lake Oloidien, this lake used to be connected to Lake Naivasha (perhaps 50 years ago), but has now become separated. Because it is separate, its salinity can be greater than Lake Naivasha. As such, it has its own flamingo flocks and hippos, which can be quite numerous.
