  Patamban is a town where the most of population is native from Mexico, (purepecha Indians), it is also a non active volcano with the same name, gastronomy is very good, the most famous dishes, are, "Churipo", which is a beef soup, seasoned with some variety of non hot chilies, "corundas", that is a "tamal", (food made of processed corn), with a characteristic yellow color & flavor, Mexican style rice & some other delicious dishes. There is famous party the last Sunday of October, in honor of "Cristo Rey", (king Christ), where all town streets are adorned with flower paths.
