Broparken is one of the most attractive aprks in Umeå, set on a slope that leads down to the river. There is a large well-maintained lawn area. There are many established trees here, giving shade and shelter in summer. These include poplar, birch and alder trees. The view up from the park onto Storgatan includes some lovely old wooden houses that survived the great fire of 1888. There are two original sculptures in the park created by the American artist Cristos Gianakos.
