This area is famous for its fantastically eroded coastline of eight-sided basalt pillars that jut out of the sea. It is also a breeding ground for several sea species, including abalones, sea cucumbers, mullet, octopi, and red snapper.
The rocks and surrounding sea are listed as Natural Monument #214 and are one of the Eight Famous Sights of Kwandong.
